Located close to beautiful Lake Michigan in Marinette, Wisconsin, the Rainbow House Domestic Abuse Services, Inc. is dedicated to empowering victims of abuse.  Rainbow House is a non profit organization with our  main office and shelter  located in Marinette, Wisconsin.  With six full time staff and five part-time staff, services are provided to victims of domestic violence 24 hours a day7, days a week. In 2008, our shelter celebrated 26 years of service.

The Rainbow House has an Oconto County Outreach Office located at the NEWCAP Building in the City of Oconto.  It is staffed with a full time Victim Advocate and a part time Youth Advocate.  Rainbow House receives it's funding from Federal and State Grants along with funding from United Way as well as private donations.  We have wonderful support from the community and church groups who donate their time to help maintain and keep the Rainbow House working for the victims in our counties.

We at the Rainbow House strive to work closely with other county, city, and local agencies and businesses to make sure our clients are receiving as much support and resources as possible to make a informed decision.  The support we receive from all of the counties we serve is outstanding.

We at the Rainbow House would like to acknowledge and thank the M & M Community Foundation and the C & R Peters Fund for your generosity.

Without these funds, these victims of Domestic violence would have had no other means of transportation to doctors, hospitals, Human Services, Job Service, counseling, interviews or legal proceedings.

This funding makes things much more accessible for our clients, and helps them to return to as much of normal life as possible.

With the Children’s Grant provided, our Youth advocates purchased an educational program relating to the prevention of teen dating violence. This preventative program breaks the cycle that so negatively impacts families in our communities.
